The ponytail hairstyle is a classic go-to, to the point that it has become innate to just pull your hair into one. It's the ultimate hairstyle for when you're happy, sad, celebrating, mourning, staying in, going out-well, basically everything. While the ponytail is definitely a classic (and is going down in hairstyle history for sure), it can get a little monotonous and rather boring. Well, truth be told, not if you amp it up a little. While a ponytail is the most basic hairstyle out there, it is also the easiest to adapt and restyle differently. Don't believe us? Scroll down to see the various ways in which you turn up the style factor on one of the world's most-loved hairstyles!

This one's for all the curly girls out there! Pull your hair into a really high ponytail and secure it with a hair-tie. Lift the loose end of your hair over your crown and let it spread across the front of your head. Place it such a way that it looks like it's falling over, but in a neat manner. Use a few bobby pins to hold the rest of your hair (especially the stray ones behind), in place.
#PROTip: Feel free to tie a scarf or use a hairband on the front of your hair to give it a boho touch.
#2 - The Twisted Ponytail

Do a low ponytail but make it stylish! Begin by combing your hair into a half messy ponytail and secure it with a small hair-tie. Now, wrap strands of the loose hair below the half ponytail to form a twist on it. Pick up more strands of hair as you move along. Do this until you reach the nape of your neck. Secure this with a hair-tie and wrap a few strands around it to conceal it. Run your hands through the end of the ponytail and fluff it up a little. To finish, pull out a few strands of hair from the front, to soften your look.

Accentuate your waves with a messy ponytail that looks oh-so-gorgeous. Start this look by applying Livon Damage Protect Serum to your hair and start creating beach waves with a curling tong. Remember, they don't need to look super defined, just need to add volume (and that mess) to your hair. Section off your hair and begin curling each section, one by one. Once you've completed your entire mane, run your fingers through it and pull it back into a low ponytail. Finish off by pulling a few strands of your hair in the front of your face-feel free to tong this hair once more, to define these waves a little more.
#4 - The Barbie-Doll Ponytail

Go retro-glam with this absolutely sensuous ponytail that turns back time to the 60s. Taking inspiration from the waved-out bob, this hairstyle is "pretty" personified. Start by applying Livon Damage Protect Serum to your hair and begin blow drying it. When doing so, use a roller brush to curl the ends of your hair outwards. Repeat for all sections. Now, pull your hair back into a high ponytail-keep it somewhere just above the crown. Spread the end of your ponytail so that it fans out over your head. Finish off with the Livon Shake & Spray Serum on the front of your hair to keep the flyaways at bay.
#5 - Wrapped In A Bubble

If you want to go a little edgy with your ponytail hairstyle, then this one's for you! Best on second-day greasy hair, start this hairstyle off by combing it neatly into a sleek high ponytail. Secure it with a hair-tie. Depending on the length of your hair, take a few fingers distance from the first hair-tie, and tie the second hair-tie. Repeat the same three times. Now, go to the first section between hair-tie one and hair-tie two-tug on the hair to open it up and create a bubble. Repeat for the second and third section too. Finish off by neatly combing the front of your hair and around the crown area.
